Acquisition score
Your acquisition,
scored out of 100.
Eight questions about how your business finds its customers. Your score and three practical recommendations appear straight away, without giving your email.
About two minutes. The calculation runs in your browser, with rules published at the bottom of the page: no answer is sent unless you ask for the details by email.
Your score
0/ 100
Your three recommendations
This score is a benchmark calculated from your answers alone, not an audit of your business.
How the score is calculated
- Every question counts equally: four possible answers, scored from 0 to 3.
- The score is the sum of the points divided by 24, expressed out of 100.
- The three recommendations come from the three lowest-scoring questions. On a tie, handling enquiries and follow-ups come first, then capacity, target, offer, measurement, consistency and sources.
- No artificial intelligence, no outside calls: the rules are in the site's score-regles.js file.
Acquisition that depends on luck.
Your customers mostly arrive when an opportunity happens to come up. The three recommendations below are the first pieces of a system.
Foundations, not yet a system.
Several pieces are in place, but they don't yet connect on their own. The recommendations below target the links that break first.
A system that holds, ready for fine-tuning.
The essentials are in place. The gains now lie in the fine-tuning: the recommendations below show where to look.
A solid system.
Your answers describe tracked, consistent acquisition. The challenge is to keep it that way as you grow.
Add a source of customers that you run yourself. You can't order referrals on demand: choose one way of reaching out to customers (targeted outreach, content, partnerships) and stick with it for three months before judging it.
Set aside fixed time for acquisition every week, even when you're busy. Dips often come from stopping the search for customers while you have enough.
Gather every enquiry in one place (a shared spreadsheet is enough), with one person responsible and a response deadline. An enquiry with no owner often ends up with no reply.
Give every prospect a dated next step. A short follow-up a few days later, then a second one, before closing the file.
Every month, count enquiries, meetings and signed customers separately, with their source. Without these three figures, there's no way to know what to keep.
Write your offer in one sentence: for whom, what problem, what result. Have three current customers read it and keep their words.
Before attracting more enquiries, decide how many new customers you can serve and what you need to free up to take them on. More enquiries without capacity means disappointed customers.
Describe your ideal customer: sector, size, contact person, what triggers their purchase. Then draw up the list of companies that match.
